OLGA STAROSTINA JINA SEO

Olga Starostina is a Houston Metal and Mixed Media artist, born in Moscow, who works primarily with recycled free cast aluminum. Starostina studied metalsmithing at the Glassell School of Art under Sandie Zilker. She is studio artist by night and Business Systems Annalist for MD Anderson Cancer Center by night. Starostina has exhibited throughout the United States Canada and Mexico at the Franz Mayer Museum, Mexico City, New York City Jewelry Week, Mexico, Indiana University, Kokomo, Indiana, Velvet da Vinci, San Francisco, CA, SNAG,Toronto, Canada, Equinox Gallery, San Antonio, TX, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Houston, TX, and the Glassell School of Art, Houston, TX. Starostina’s work is in a number of private collections throughout Texas.

Jina Seo (b. South Korea) is an Assistant Professor at Missouri State University. She recently won a Grand Prix at Amber Trip Art Jewelry Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania in 2019. She was a recipient of Fountainhead Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University 2016-2017 and chosen as one of the SNAG Emerging Artists in 2016. She received her MFA at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and her BFA at Kookmin University, South Korea. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including Munich Jewellery Week 2017; Brooklyn Metal Works, Brooklyn, NY; Woman Made Gallery, Chicago, IL; Sung-Gock Gallery, Seoul, Korea; and (AV17) Gallery, Vilnius, Lithuania.
